First and foremost we're a crane company that has never lost touch with who we are, how we started and that our customers got us here.

My Husband, John H Mooncotch Sr, was an Iron Worker and project manager for several steel erection companies during his career. He traveled all across the United States working on bridges and buildings.  In 1964 we established La Grange Steel Erectors. On days that we did not use our cranes for steel erection we rented them out for additional revenue.  That is how La Grange Crane Rental came into existence.  Over time John and I decided to phase out the steel erection and focus on the crane rental industry. In 1981 La Grange Crane Service, Inc. was founded.

For more than 50 years, we have provided quality service to various industries. La Grange Crane is a full service provider of cranes and experienced crane operators in the tri-state area. Our 24/7 emergency policy, reputation for responsiveness and servicing critical emergency needs is well known among contractors. In recent years major projects have included the Daley Center and John Hancock Christmas tree, the Presidential Towers gymnasium, CTA’S red and brown line, and Loyola University to name a few. Our Operators are experienced in a wide range of specialty hoisting services some of which include telecommunication towers, monopoles, wind towers, bill boards, steel erection, precast concrete, mechanical units, machinery, film production, roofing, pool installation and residential framing. Every job is important to our team, No job is too big or too small.

La Grange has grown dramatically in recent years, adding a wide range of hydraulic and conventional truck cranes to expand the fleet. I am preparing three key employees to pass the business down to, so that the legacy may continue. Today these dynamic individuals work together creating a vision to take the company to new levels of success, while maintaining its reputation for outstanding service. La Grange Crane graciously accepts a large percentage of its business from repeat customers and referrals. Clients know they can depend on the La Grange team to work with them to make their project run smoothly with experienced crane operators who put safety first.
